Planting Trees for a Sustainable Future

In January 2024, Scorpio India proudly celebrated its 15th anniversary with a meaningful initiative that underscores our commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability. To mark this milestone, we planted 15 saplings in honor of each of our dedicated employees, both past and present, symbolizing our collective impact. A remarkable 9,990 saplings in total were planted.
This initiative underscores our dedication to fostering a greener future for generations to come. Each person received a certificate with a unique ID, allowing them to track the geolocation of their sapling through the NGO’s portal, creating a personal connection to their tree and their environmental contribution.
The saplings were planted in areas experiencing ecological imbalance, with tree species chosen specifically to suit the local geography. This strategic approach not only aids in restoring regional biodiversity but also addresses environmental degradation effectively.
At Scorpio India, we believe in the power of collective action and individual efforts. As we grow, we remain dedicated to creating a sustainable and environmentally responsible future, as seen with this tree-planting initiative embodying our commitment to making a positive difference in the world.
Helping Leopards
In India, leopards have adapted to living near human settlements, leading to conflicts, especially due to habitat loss. To address this, the Trees for Leopards project was created in Nainital District’s Okhalkhanda block. The project aims to plant trees, expanding the green cover to provide leopards and other wildlife with safe habitats, reducing human-wildlife encounters. Additionally, the initiative supports local communities through sustainable ecotourism and responsible forest use, promoting a balanced and healthy ecosystem. Grow Trees’ goal for this project is to plant 200,000 trees.
